BRAZORIA COUNTY, TX — Brazoria County has a busy lineup of events coming up, with fireworks, live music, farmers markets, family activities, art camp, car meets, karaoke and beachside entertainment all on the schedule.

From Angleton to Lake Jackson, Freeport, Alvin and Surfside Beach, residents looking for something to do will have several options across the county.

Here are 10 events happening around Brazoria County.


Angleton

Freedom Fireworks at the Brazoria County Fairgrounds

Angleton will host Freedom Fireworks at the Brazoria County Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 27.

The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 9:20 p.m. The event gives families and residents a chance to enjoy an early patriotic celebration ahead of the July 4 holiday.

Residents planning to attend should arrive early, especially with a large crowd expected near the fairgrounds. Those watching from the fairgrounds area should also plan for parking, traffic and possible delays after the display ends.

The market may include fresh vegetables, eggs, hot foods, handmade goods, baked goods, local artisans and small businesses. It is also a family-friendly stop for residents looking to support local vendors close to home.

Lake Jackson

Art Camp Summer '26: Sculpture Week

Art Camp Summer ’26 is continuing in Lake Jackson with a sculpture-focused week running June 22 through June 26.

The camp is being held at The Scholar’s Source, located at 458 Plantation Drive in Lake Jackson, in partnership with the Artist Alliance of Brazoria County.

The camp offers different time slots by grade level. Students in 9th through 12th grade meet from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Students in 6th through 8th grade meet from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Students in 2nd through 5th grade meet from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The listed cost is $175 per week for the older age groups and $100 per week for the 2nd through 5th grade group. Flexible enrollment is available, giving families the option to sign up for one class, some classes or the full camp schedule.

Upcoming camp weeks are expected to include drawing from July 6 through July 10 and mixed media from July 20 through July 24.
